Struggles of the Heart

I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been struggling with some things.  I originally attributed my time away as busyness, but realized it’s really more about issues of the heart and allowing things to take me out of His Presence.

As I was reading Joel Osteen’s Devotional for today, it really hit me.  The Scripture is “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3).  The devotion is titled “He is the Healer” and begins with a profound statement, “It doesn’t matter what is broken in your life today, God’s nature is to bring you complete healing.”

Know that God truly cares and will heal all of your wounds.  Put your trust in Him and allow Him to take you to a place of true victory.

As I write this to you I am saying it to myself.  I have a lot of wounds but I release all of that to God for Him to heal.  I will move forward in Christ knowing that the healing is occurring even as I continue to feel discomfort and pain.

God is a healer and a restorer.  I trust in Him as I move into the victorious life He has for me.
